Engagement photos are memorable because they capture an intimate moment between two people that will remain in their family's hearts forever. Mac and Kennedy’s engagement proposal at the 18th tee box at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Course was incredibly unique to photograph. I was fortunate to be able to capture the moment with my Fujifilm GFX 100s and the GF 110mm f2.0 lens. Mac was playing in the TaylorMade Invitational tournament, the timing was perfect; it happened just as golden hour was reaching its peak, providing a breathtaking golden-blue sunset. I captured the moment four f-stops underexposed to preserve the highlights trusting that the amazing dynamic range of the GFX 100s would allow me to restore details in the shadows. I felt privileged to document such a treasured memory for them both. Engagements are always wonderful to capture, but this one stands out in my mind as an extra special one that I'm sure Kennedy and Mac will want to look back on for years to come. What an incredible moment!
